About the project:

The purpose of the project is to increase the awareness level of approximately 380 children between 12-15 years of age from 5 cooperating schools from Romania (Scoala gimnaziala Vasile Parvan), Cyprus (Perifereiako Gymnasio Kitiou), Portugal (Agrupamento de escolas Terras de Larus), Greece (56th Junior High School of Athens), Malta (Newark School) about the need to adopt a healthy lifestyle in a healthy natural environment, for the their development as active citizens of Europe tomorrow. We expect that after participating in the project activities, 40% of the target group will follow a healthy lifestyle in a protected environment.

AIMS:

-to involve the students in new activities through which they understand the necessity of forming a healthy lifestyle for their future as adults but also for the family and for the immediate social environment in which they live.

-to introduce new indoor and outdoor activities through which children from the target group can learn everything in a practical, active way, through personal experiences; after these experiences they will reflect on in order to extract the lessons.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Tangible results:

-a logo of project

-a website„I care…for my TOMORROW” in the language of the partnership (English)

-an optional course(curriculum at school decision)for 13-14 year old students, translated into the language of each partner

-a good practice guide with examples of activities, additional to the optional course, translated for each partner

-5 transnational activities,each school being host for an activity

-an eTwinning project with the same title

-5 student blogs, in the partner languages, with examples of good practice for students, parents, the local/regional/national community

Qualitative results.

Min. 380 students will

-learn and understand what means a healthy lifestyle

-be able to develop their skills to create a long-term program for a healthy lifestyle

-realize that they live in a close relationship with nature and this means that they cannot be indifferent to pollution and destruction of nature.

There will be also developed cooperation and collaboration skills, integration, tolerance and initiative, friendship between students and also between teachers.A transnational community of approximately 25 teachers will be created and they will work to achieve the objectives.
